ZTE is expected to launch a new, amazing flagship smartphone called the Nubia Z9 on 26 March, away from the commotion of MWC 2015 in Barcelona.

The phone should arrive with a “stunning” design with impossibly thin bezels, which we have already peeked at several times. The upcoming model has been spotted in a bunch of leaked pictures, and today we bring you the latest ones.

As you can see in the gallery below, the Nubia Z9 really takes advantage of an impressive screen-to-body ratio. The handset also seems to be pretty premium, coming with an aluminum unibody and what appears to be a fingerprint scanner located on the back.

We’re also shown a photograph where the Nubia Z9 is placed next to Apple’s current iPhone 6. From the image, it’s pretty evident that the Z9 will be only a tad thicker than the Apple flagship, which sits at 2.7-inches / 6.9 mm.

As for the specs, we certainly don’t know the full story. A recent listing in AnTuTu showed that the new ZTE phone should arrive with a 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 424ppi.

Will the Nubia Z9 sport a FHD or QHD display?

But the information went against previous rumors, which claimed that the Nubia Z9 would take advantage of a larger 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) like all self-respecting phones this spring.

The benchmark listing reveals what we knew all along, that the Nubia Z9 will take advantage of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor fitted with 3GB of RAM.

On top of that, the handset will make it out with a 16MP frontal camera plus an 8MP selfie snapper up in front. The phone will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box.

There’s a bit of confusion related to the model that popped up in AnTuTu, as the phone might prove to be the Nubia Z9 mini.

Since ZTE’s previous Z7 brought a 5.5-inch display to the table, it would be a pretty strange move on behalf of the company to shrink the screen size on its next flagship. The Z7 also enjoyed a QHD display, so it makes sense for the Nubia Z9 mini to settle for less.
