Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE has been rumored lately to plan the release of a brand-new high-end device in the not-too-distant future, in the form of ZTE Nubia Z7, and some more info on the device appears to have emerged online today.

The handset has been rumored for several months now and was initially expected to make an official appearance sometime in March, but it has been nowhere to be seen as of now.

However, a new report on it, coming from gizmochina, claims that ZTE might be getting ready to make the Android-based smartphone official in the coming months, most probably in July.

A leaked screenshot allegedly coming from the device has also been published online, and it appears to be confirming the fact that those who will grab it will be provided with dual-SIM capabilities in it.

Moreover, the mobile phone is rumored to feature support for 4G LTE networks, which does not come as a surprise at all, considering the fact that this technology is only now picking up Steam in China, where the device is most likely going to land first.

What’s interesting to note about the phone, however, is the fact that it is expected to hit shelves with a Snapdragon 805 processor inside, which would actually make it one of the fastest smartphones released this year.

ZTE Nubia Z7 is also said to include 3GB of RAM inside, which will certainly ensure increased performance capabilities at all times.

Moreover, ZTE should release it with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as with a 16-megapixel camera, which will be capable of recording videos at least in full HD resolution, that’s for sure.

No official confirmation on the smartphone has been provided as of now, but it seems that it might not be too long at all until ZTE details it in full, provided that the aforementioned rumor pans out.

ZTE Nubia Z7 indeed sounds like a great device, though it won’t be the only smartphone released with similar hardware specifications before the end of this summer.

In fact, vendors such as LG, Samsung and others have been already said to plan the release of Snapdragon 805-based handsets, so as to be able to grab more market share at the very high end of the market.

For the time being, we’ll take the info on ZTE’s plans with a grain of salt, though chances are that it will pan out in the end, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
