Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE Corporation is finally getting ready for the release of a new high-end Android-based device, in the form of ZTE Nubia Z7, which was spotted online a few times before.

The mobile phone was already said to arrive on shelves sometime next month, and confirmation on the matter is now available, it seems.

According to a recent article on cnmo, the ZTE Nubia Z7 will be officially unveiled on July 8, during a press event set to take place in Beijing.

Apparently, the Chinese vendor has already started to tease the mobile phone, and the teaser clearly points towards the aforementioned date.

When made official, the new ZTE Nubia Z7 should prove one of the most powerful devices out there, courtesy of a Snapdragon 805 processor that ZTE is said to have included in it.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, but the aforementioned Chinese website appears convinced that this will indeed happen this way.

The upcoming mobile phone is also said to arrive on the market with a large 5.5-inch touchscreen display that should be able to deliver a Quad HD resolution.

Should this pan out, it would make ZTE’s new smartphone a powerful competitor for the LG G3, which landed on shelves only a month ago with a similar screen, but with a Snapdragon 801 CPU inside.

Rumor has it that ZTE Nubia Z7 will also include 3GB of RAM when released, so as to ensure high performance levels at all times.

Additionally, the upcoming device should become available for purchase with a powerful camera on the back, most probably a 13-megapixel or higher one, as well as with a large front camera for video calling and taking selfies.

Other mobile phone makers out there have already made similar moves, and ZTE will certainly try to keep up with them with the release of this device.

On top of that, ZTE Nubia Z7 should run under one of the latest versions of the Android operating system, though we suspect that it would be Android 4.4.3 or Android 4.4.4, and not Lollipop. The company’s own set of apps and customizations will also be present on the device.

There are still a great deal of details on this mobile phone that haven’t been announced as of now, but all of them should go official in roughly two weeks from now, so keep an eye on this space for additional info.
