The Nubia Z9 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset

It looks like Chinese companies Lenovo and ZTE have decided to launch their flagship smartphones after Mobile World Congress 2015, in order to avoid their event being overshadowed by Samsung or HTC.

We reported earlier today that Lenovo plans to launch its Vibe Z3 Pro on March 23, a smartphone that will probably be initially available in China.

Now it looks like ZTE, another Chinese handset maker, confirmed it would announce its flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z9, on March 26.

Given that the event will take place in China as well, we expect ZTE Nubia Z9 to go on sale in the Mainland first. We're not even sure that ZTE will bring the smartphone to other regions such as Europe.

This might be another reason ZTE did not announce the Nubia Z9 at MWC 2015, because it won't be available in Europe. Hopefully, this won't be the case because the device looks stunning.

Aside from the stylish design, the Nubia Z9 is a powerful device, but that's to be expected from a flagship smartphone.

Snapdragon 810 processor and 5.5-inch Quad HD display

According to previous rumors, ZTE Nubia Z9 will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, but there are no details on the amount of RAM.

We also know the high-end smartphone will boast a stunning 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display.

Apart from these rumors, there aren't any other details available for ZTE Nubia Z9's specs sheet, but we suspect more info will emerge in the coming weeks.

The Nubia Z9 will probably have a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and at least 16GB of internal memory, but since ZTE has already teased the event for March 26, we'll be reporting on the smartphone's full specs sheet later this month.

Obviously, stay tuned for any other info that might leak ahead of the official announcement.
