There are Core i3, i5 and i7 processor options, all part of the fourth generation

The Zotac ZBOX must be one of, if not the most persistent of all miniature personal computers, seeing as how it gets updated on a regular basis. Not even a day ago, it welcomed some new CPU additions.

More specifically, the ZBOX Mini PC can now be outfitted with a Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 central processing unit belonging to the fourth generation of such chips.

In other words, Haswell is now supported by the system, which means better processing and integrated graphics.

The entry-level ZBOX ID91 relies on an Intel Core i3 4130T, the mainstream unit ZBOX ID92 gets an Intel Core i5 4570T, and the ZBOX IQ01 high-end computer uses a quad-core Intel Core i7 4770T.

In a nutshell, these chips are better than many of the ones bought on the DIY (do-it-yourself) market, since Celeron seems quite popular among those who like to make their own system. Except gamers of course, those customers only buy the best.

But we digress. There's another piece of good news about the 4th Generation Intel Core ZOTAC ZBOX systems: 802.11ac wireless support.

802.11ac wireless is the latest and best type of Wi-Fi, capable of 1 Gbps transfer speeds. Also, there is Dual Gigabit Ethernet support and Bluetooth 4.0.

The rest of the specifications are left as before, although they still vary from model to model. Only the small case with glowing circle on the top (or side, if placed vertically) is the same across the board.

Some of the ZBOX'es have HDMI and DVI-I outputs and some get Dual DisplayPort and DVI-I. Also, mSATA may or may not be present. High-amperage USB charging is supported only on the ZBOX IQ01 high-end configuration, for example.

As for storage and memory, they are of 500 GB and 4 GB, respectively. Pretty respectable for something that isn't that much larger than your open palm.
