Pope Francis could not have been more pleased this weekend during a Vatican sermon he held for the Year of Faith, when a little boy ended up on stage and wouldn't leave the pontiff alone.

The celebration in St Peter's Square was addressed to families, and the boy wandered on stage and refused to be ushered off by the Pope's aides.

He was part of a group of children invited in front, on the platform, BuzzFeed filled in. The group was made up of natives of 80 countries across the globe.

He helped and brought one girl forward, as security chased him around. He gave the pope a big hug and won his heart. In order to continue with the sermon in peace, Pope Francis seated him on his chair.

The pontiff has shown a lot of humanity in playing with the child and welcoming him by his side.
