YouTube is more than a video service because it owns an incredible community of members with millions of clips uploaded every day. Recently, the Google product announced its decision to hire one of the most active members of the community, making him YouTube's Community Advocate. Recently, there were several cases reported concerning the suspended accounts, multiple banned users claiming that Damien Estreich, the newest YouTube employee, blocked their account. Although the number of the removed usernames is quite impressive, YouTube sustains that its Community Advocate didn't ban any account as his functions are limited.

"I wanted to start the week with a quick clarification about Damien Estreich's role. Some YouTubers are under the impression that Damien is able to suspend accounts or feature videos. While we rely on our Community Advocate for many things - most notably to be out there listening to what the YouTube community needs and wants - these two things are not part of his super powers," Mia, YouTube Team, sustained on the official blog of the company.

However, if your account is now banned and you don't have an official reason for it, try reading Community Guidelines, a set of tools especially designed to avoid problems with your YouTube account. In the past, most of the YouTube headaches were caused by the users and their impressive number of clips, the company being accused for copyright infringement. Take for example the lawsuit with Daniela Cicarelli, Ronaldo's ex-wife who sued Google for publishing videos without her approval. The company's officials sustained they removed the clip but other users were repeatedly uploading it, causing the well-known lawsuit between Google and the Brazilian model. At that time, a Brazilian court closed the local YouTube until the search giant removed all the videos from the page.
