The online video sharing service YouTube is again the main source of information for the police after a 1,48 minute clip was posted on its page and showed vandalism attempts over a supermarket. According to Evening Leader, the supermarket's officials sustained that they alerted the police because two young people tried to damage a trolley shelter from the car park. At this time, the clip is a little bit anonymous as it recorded only 213 views, 5 comments and 3 ratings. However, it brings another important problem in the spotlights as more and more clips are showing vandalism attempts.

"A video of young people trying to damage a trolley shelter in Tesco's car park in Wrexham called 'Tesco Trashers' was posted on YouTube, an internet site which can be viewed by members of the public. It shows two young people running at the shelter, with what seems to be the aim of damaging it in some way. One of the youths smashes straight through the trolley park after taking a flying leap at the construction. He is filmed dazed on the floor after landing on his head," the Evening Leader reported today.

Because the clip reveals an important problem for the authorities, the supermarket's officials are decided to inform the police and promote the case until the two "start" are punished. "We take this sort of thing seriously and anyone caught vandalising property will be reported to the police," they said according to the same source.

In the past, numerous police officers turned to YouTube because they wanted to post surveillance videos to require users' help and identify the suspects. After it recorded a considerable number of views and a lot of members offered valuable information, the authorities managed to find the guilty attackers and resolve the cases, being another sign that YouTube's community is useful in many situations.
