The English side of Russia Today, one of the largest Russian news services, partnered with YouTube to create a new channel and publish its video content. Russia Today wants to upload news clips, documentaries and commentaries on the newly introduced YouTube channel, Cnews reports. "Russia Today is entering a new media space. The audience will get access to the most interesting programs and films from any part of the world if they didn't manage to view it on air," Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said according to Cnews.

The channel is very similar with the ones created for other partnerships announced in the past. For example, YouTube signed an agreement with BBC to create three new channels and distribute news content. However, BBC was also creating a special page to offer entertainment videos for free.

"The program "wheel" has hourly blocks of international news about what's happening in Russia and the world around it, about business, culture, sport and science topics in a comprehensive picture of latest global events. Russia's growing role in the international economy, alongside political and economic co-operation and joint international projects in many fields of activity, all generate interest not only in events in Russia but also in Russia's own assessment of global events," it is mentioned in the description of the channel.

YouTube is no longer an online video sharing service and this is proved by the daily announcements and the agreements signed by the parent company Google. As you can see, YouTube turns into a great online television as more and more news providers and media companies are partnering with it to provide their content. At this time, you're able to view news, using the partnership with BBC, CNN and other news services, sports content from the agreements with Chelsea FC, NBA and other sports providers and other types of clips posted on YouTube.
