Is your email address confirmed?

YouTube is the largest video sharing service on the web and if you want to take advantage of all its features you have to register for an account. However, numerous users complain that even if they create an account, they are still unable to access some of the service's functions. There are a lot of things that might cause this problem, but the most common one is that your email is still unconfirmed. YouTube sustains that a lot of users forget to confirm they email address while other are not receiving the confirmation at all. Basically, it is all about the spam filters used by the consumers because some of them might block the email sent by Youtube.

"The email address associated with your YouTube account may not be confirmed. To request a confirmation email, go to the "Upload" button in the top right of the page after logging in. If you don't see the email in your Inbox, you might want to look in your email's spam folder," the Google video sharing platform mentions in the help section of its page.

What if the problems persist even after I confirmed the email address? Well, there is surely something wrong with your browser and you must clear the cache and the cookies in order to be able to access YouTube's features.

"If you've confirmed your email address by clicking the link in the email you received and you're still having trouble, try deleting your browser's cache and cookies, relaunching your browser, and logging back in to YouTube. You might need to request another confirmation email, too," YouTube adds.

If you want to clear your browser's cache and cookies, you must know the operation is different for every application because they have different menus and different functions. For example, cleaning the Opera's cache can be done by clicking on 'Tool' and selecting 'Delete Private Data'.
