All you need to do is try

A most unusual guest post was featured on TechCrunch, that of Dan Ackerman Greenberg who literarily gave away the keys to turning a video of your baby crying into a "viral video" that has a lot of hits and is up there in the search results page.

Step one: give it a fake title. Who's going to click on a link to "My sweet baby crying because he doesn't like the light"? The ones to whom you gave the link yourself or those that know you (but that's not compulsory, I for one would just ignore it completely) or those who are really sick and take pleasure from these things. Better yet, give it a title like "Jessica Alba shows her boobs" or anything of the sort with the wider alternative of "Women dancing naked to killer beat" or almost anything with a sexual connotation.

Step two: choose carefully the middle frame that YouTube chooses for the thumbnail in the search results page. Two rules that are very important are as follows:

1. that the frame at the very middle is interesting, sex also sells here as well, so a picture of a naked woman would get hundreds of thousands of views just because "The Internet is for Porn" if you know the song. 2. the thumbnail should be clear, suggesting good quality and it should contain a pretty face or at the very least a person. Of course, if there's a naked woman, the pretty face is compulsory.

Several YouTube accounts are also a welcome addition in order to rate your video as a 5 star one and perhaps even start a conversation about how good it is. The negative comments can and must be deleted or else they will drag you down a lot.

This is how your totally unattractive video about your baby crying might turn out to be a best selling item for your account, and these are just a few tips. Enjoy!
