After the Viacom removal, YouTube started a powerful campaign of partnerships to increase the number of videos they provide, trying to cover all the areas that are required by users. Today, a new special channel was revealed, You Choose 08 representing the YouTube feature that will present all the US Presidential candidates for 2008. You'll be able to view Presidential campaign as well as presentations and speeches made by all the candidates currently registered for the election.

"We just launched "You Choose 08", a central hub of channels created by Presidential candidates for 2008. Check out behind-the-scenes footage from the campaigns, and make your own response videos to what these Presidential hopefuls are saying? This is your chance to interact directly with the candidates and tell them exactly what you think," Steve, The YouTube Team, sustained in a blog post.

The YouTube employee also mentioned the company plans on introducing a special blog for this new feature that will allow YouTube employees to post the most interesting videos provided by candidates and users as well as latest information from the election.

Since Viacom, the owner of MTV and Comedy Central, demanded YouTube to remove almost 100.000 clips from the page, Google started an amazing campaign to attract new companies able to provide new videos to cover the hole. Yesterday, it was reported that YouTube currently has more than 1000 partnerships including the well known agreements with NBA and Chelsea.

Although the two deals allow YouTube to post sports related videos, the most attractive partnership is surely the one with BBC that helps the service post movies with the latest headlines and news. The agreement will create 3 special channels on YouTube, 2 of them based on entertainment while the third one provides quick access to the latest news provided by BBC.
