The Virginia shootings made a lot of victims in the US but, using other online media techniques, they caused several problems for people from all over the world. Take for example a Boston teacher fired by the school's officials after he talked about the massacre in a unique way. According to several sources, Nicholas Winset used a marker to point it to some students and pretended to shoot them while he was trying to explain that the weapons might not solve all the problems. The discussion was quite interactive because one of the students also tried to "shoot" the teacher to present his point of view. Although he thought his lessons were quite interesting, the teacher received a letter sustaining he was fired.

Because the teacher sustained the media criticized him, Nicholas Winset published a four-part clip on YouTube to present his own version of the case and defend himself.

"In his financial accounting class Wednesday, Winset dramatized the massacre that left 33 students and faculty dead after 23-year-old Seung-Hui Cho went on a shooting rampage, eventually turning the gun on himself. Winset, 37, said administrators had asked faculty members to engage students on the issue. Winset said he opened the discussion by summarizing nonviolent philosophies before holding up a marker and asking the class to acknowledge that it was not a weapon," The Boston Globe reported.

The first part of the clip recorded 647 views, 5 comments and was flagged as favorite by one YouTube member. However, all the videos are well promoted by most of the online publications, so it will become an interesting case discussed by the majority of the Internet users. At this time, it is only one of the different YouTube goals because the online video sharing service is rarely used to upload clips and share them with friends and the entire community.
