YouTube debuted a major update today, improving the interface of the video player with related links placed straight inside the embedded clip. This new appearance was discovered last week when some of the YouTube appeared in several embedded clips published on the Internet. Today, the YouTube representatives announced the new interface that is actually more attractive and offers instant access to related clips from wherever you are: on the main site of YouTube or on any other page that includes the movies.

"Does watching a YouTube video on another site leave you hungering for more like it? We just turned on a new embedded player with a scroll-through feature that shows related videos to your embeds. It's fun to play with and lets you discover new, related videos without leaving your site. Just hover over the video after pressing "play" and watch the magic unfold..." the YouTube team said today.

I must say that YouTube's new interface is quite awesome because it is based on Flash effects that are also providing improved functionality for the YouTube fans. There is no need to visit the official website of the online video sharing service because you can find related links straight into the embedded clip you have just seen. However, numerous users expressed their annoyance concerning the recently-introduced player, sustaining that it's quite disturbing and affects the experience of viewing the clips.

It seems like the YouTube team was expecting this reaction and created a possibility to disable this feature. Although it is quite difficult to use for some users, the only way to block this new interface is to add the "rel=0" tag after the clip's URL. This code will remove 100 percent of the new video player interface including the menu button, embedding only the old and famous appearance of YouTube clips.
