But only in beta stage

Middio is a new concept on the Internet market because it is based on Google's online video sharing service but displays only music videos. The new service is quite interesting because it selects all the music video clips uploaded by YouTubers and places them on its own website along with the artist and the song's name. At this time, the product is only in private beta stage so you're able to test it only with an invitation sent by the developers. As I said, it is quite a new concept because it might represent a huge music clips database based on the videos provided by YouTube's users.

As TechCrunch reported, the solution is well-developed, offering a clean interface bundled with an efficient search engine that provides relevant results. It seems like Middio doesn't currently offer the possibility to create playlists so it cannot be used as a stand-alone music video player. According to the same source, the product will be launched on May 5, allowing you to subscribe to the newsletter to receive the latest news straight in your email. Although it's not quite clear if YouTube allows Middio to take all the music clips from the page, I believe the service doesn't infringe the Google product's guidelines because it uses the embedded feature available on YouTube's page.

"Middio is a simple website that organizes music videos uploaded by the public to YouTube. In other words, Middio goes through the trouble of finding and properly tagging music videos already floating around the web so that you don't have to. No bothersome ads are shown on any page or before any videos begin -- Middio gives you only what you ask for," it is mentioned in the description of the service.
