He may not be plagued with remorse for letting her slip through his fingers, but Ray J at least made sure Kim Kardashian did not get married with Kris Humphries over the weekend without hearing this from him: “you have me to thank for all this.”

Just days before the fabulous wedding, another of Kim’s exes, Reggie Bush, was calling and texting Kim nonstop to beg her to reconsider and perhaps even give their romance another try. Now, it’s Ray’s turn to do the texting.

Kim describes herself as a fashion designer, television personality, author and entrepreneur but there’s no denying her career would have never been this successful had it not been for a certain homemade tape also featuring Ray, her then-boyfriend.

Because of it, Ray thinks he “created” Kim, something he said before in an interview. So, to remind her of it, he sent her a text on her big day, a friend of his tells Radar Online.

“And to think you really have me to thank for all this ;-)” read the text the rapper sent Kim on her big day, the day of her fairytale wedding.

He’s saying that, without him and the tape, Kim wouldn’t have been such a huge star as she is today and, consequently, that she wouldn’t have commanded this kind of interest in her personal life.

It goes without saying that she wouldn’t have made a fortune off the event either.

And that she did. As we also noted earlier today, Kim and Kris will probably go down in history as one of the few celebrity couples to make a lot of money off their wedding – and not spend a single penny for it.

People magazine reportedly paid the two $1.5 million for exclusivity on the wedding photos. On the side, Kim also signed a very lucrative deal with E! Online for a wedding special that will air in October – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as reports would have it.
