The young man is good with machines, so he created a robot with a levitating arm.
The entire purpose of the robot is to reach through the compartment where snack vending machines deposit the, well, snacks, and get them without paying anything.
The robot is controlled by a gamepad and actually isn't as easy to use, or to get, than, say, measuring tape.
Obviously, I am not about to condone stealing, but I can give credit where it is due, and the robot is a pretty cool invention.
