We reported in early March that the Russian company behind the YotaPhone plans to bring its latest device in the United States via crowd-funding website Indiegogo.

Those who have been waiting for YotaPhone 2 to arrive in the United States will be pleased to know that the smartphone is now available for purchase at Indiegogo.

As expected, those who pledge their money for the YotaPhone 2 Indiegogo campaign won't receive their smartphones immediately. According to Yota Devices, those who order the YotaPhone 2 should get their handsets in August.

The crowd-funding campaign debuted with a special tier that offered the YotaPhone 2 for just $500 (plus shipping). Only 100 backers could take advantage of the offer, and as expected, they were sold out quickly.

However, for the next 48 hours, Yota Devices is running another promotion, which offers the YotaPhone 2 for a discounted price of $525 (plus shipping).

Those who missed both promotions will still be able to order the YotaPhone 2 for $550 (plus shipping). The package contains a free protective bumper case and an additional $10 savings.

You can now support the dual-screen revolution

It's also worth mentioning that backers will be able to choose which color they want their YotaPhone 2 to be, but only after the crowd-funding campaign ends.

Speaking of which, the YotaPhone 2 Indiegogo campaign will last for exactly two months. In the first 12 hours, more than 190 people have backed the project for a total amount of $99,531.

The YotaPhone 2 comes with dual-screens: a 5-inch AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating, as well as a secondary 4.7-inch always-on grayscale display with qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The device lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion, but packs a decent 8-megapixel camera on the back that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
