CoolTechZone has published an inside report in which they disclose new information about the 'Yonah' processor.

The Yonah processor is apparently expected to debut at the beginning of next year, on the 6th of January to be precise. The much anticipated processor that is said to be inside the new 'Intel Inside' Macs is going to be launched in India. Intel would not be the first hardware manufacturer to launch new technology in India, Motorola having recently released its SLVR-L6 there due to price sensitivity in the market.

Although the launch venue is expected to be in India, it is as of yet unclear whether there will be multiple simultaneous launches. This seems very likely, taking into account that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2006) will be taking place around that same date, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Another event taking place around the same timeframe is the MacWorld Expo, where Steve Jobs is scheduled to deliver the keynote on January 10th.

The Yonah is a dual-core chip, based on the 65nm fabrication process, that will mark the launch of Intel's new strategy in place (performance per watt) and most likely the first Intel chip to be used inside Macs.

With such major events as the Consumer Electronics Show and the MacWorld Expo, it would seem unlikely that the lunch in India will be an exclusive one.
