One half of the Atlanta-based rapping duo Ying Yang Twins has been arrested by police in relation to an incident involving his wife that has earned him a “family violence” charge and two counts of simple battery.

De'Angelo Holmes was arrested in Georgia following an incident that took place back in November of last year when he allegedly attacked his wife, Porsche Holmes. The woman was left with a knot over her eye after being punched in the face by De'Angelo.

Now, Holmes, 35, has been released from custody on bond, after he agreed to stay away from his wife and after being imposed other restrictions, which probably involve interdiction to leave the state as well.

This is not the first time Holmes has had run-ins with police forces. He has been arrested back in June 2012, again by Gwinett County police, in various incidents. In all, he has amassed seven offenses, one of which includes driving under the influence.

Sadly, this isn't even the first time that De'Angelo has lashed out against his wife. Prosecutors say that this latest charge is the second time the rapper has harmed wife Porsche.

Known to fans as D-Roc, Holmes is one half of the Ying Yang Twins rap group together with partner Kaine, real name Eric Jackson. The duo came to international attention back in 2003 when they paired up with another rapper from Atlanta, Lil' Jon, and made the hit song “Get Low.”

Other popular songs by the Ying Yang Twins include titles such as “Saltshaker,” “Halftime,” and “(Wait)The Whisper Song.” The song “Halftime” is played in the stadium every time the football team New Orleans Saints scores a touchdown in home games.

The title of Ying Yang Twins' last studio album is “Ying Yang Forever” and it was released back in 2009.
