Chinese graphics card maker Yeston has just announced the introduction of a new graphics card from the God of War series that is based on AMD's Radeon HD 6570 design and is destined to offer entry-level performance for those users who don't run graphics intensive applications.

The new card is dubbed the R6570-1024D3 God of War and is based on a custom Yeston design that employs a shorter PCB than the one used by the reference version of the card.

According to the information provided by Expreview, the new printed circuit board Yeston has developed relies on a 1+1 phase VRM for providing the power required to the GPU and memory chips.

While this setup may seem a bit out of its place when compared with other solutions utilized by graphics card makers for higher performance GPUs, this is more than enough for a card such as the HD 6570 that has a TDP of just 60W.

Furthermore, Yeston has used only solid capacitors when designing the R6570-1024D3 God of War, which should help decrease the power consumption of the card and improve its lifespan.

As far as cooling is concerned, Yeston's latest creation goes with a dual-slot cooler that relies on an 80mm fan for dissipating the heat away from the aluminum heatsink that covers the GPU.

The rest of the card's specifications are nothing out of the ordinary as its GPU is clocked at the standard 650MHz, while the 1GB of DDR3 memory works at 533MHz (1066MHz data rate).

In comparison, AMD's reference design for the Radeon HD 6570 utilizes GDDR5 memory clocked at 1GHz (4GHz data rate).

Pricing for Yeston's new graphics card is set at 499 Chinese Yuan, which translates into $78 US or about 57 Euros.

The Radeon HD 6570 is based on the Turks core that includes 480 streaming units, 24 texturing units, 8 ROP units and a 128-bit memory bus.
