Some believe a thunderstorm over Kensington Palace also had a say in the matter

It all sounds like a scene from a wacky Shakespearian play, but there are some who say that Kate Middleton went into labor thanks to yesterday's full moon and to a thunderstorm that acted out for a while over Kensington Palace.

Word has it that the gravitational pull of a full moon affects not just oceans, seas and rivers, but also amniotic fluid. To put it in a nutshell, it allegedly causes some really tiny tides inside a woman's womb.

These tide wannabes are not impressive in themselves, but they do steal some spotlight whenever they happen to trigger labor, Daily Star says.

Now, as far as thunderstorms go, it appears that changes in pressure brought about by thunders also affect pregnant women, and can induce labor.

It goes without saying that, as far as researchers are concerned, there is no scientific evidence to back up such claims.
