Faith is the sole purpose of some people's life. They are called hermits, sometimes saints and they are pure human beings that do not take into consideration the small traps life has laid before them. They have faith that their deity will protect them.

Those people were once the object of adoration for many, but as technology advanced other preoccupations took over the religious part of everybody's lives. As a direct result, fewer and fewer true believers are seen nowadays and the time allocated to soul searching or inner self meditation is drastically reduced. The Internet is one of the reasons for that happening, so the logical conclusion from those not willing to see this downfall of spirituality was to go online.

A part of Collins Bibles, Mission Praise Online, has just made available in the byte world one of its most popular hymn books, with over 2 million printed copies sold. But (there's always a "but", from the time when penitences were in fashion) there's a price tag attached to using the service and it's pretty steep: 40 pounds a year. That will grant users access to over 1800 hymns and the option to download the words, sheet music and the tracks that accompany the religious music.

"Mission Praise was the first hymn book to combine traditional hymns with newer worship songs and now it is the first hymn book to go online, making it as easy as possible for churches to use this great collection of old and new hymns," Ian Metcalfe, the editorial director at Collins Bibles told WebUser.com.

When will we see an online conducted mass, not the streamed version, but the Flash version complete with bible readings and liturgical material? At the rate things are going, I'm thinking 5 - 10 years.
