The PS3 exclusive will come with a mid-January demo

Remember the game which allows you to play with prostitutes? Of course you do, and of course you are already waiting for it to arrive. The good news is that a demo of this Yakuza 3 title will be available for download this month for Japanese users only, so if you have friends there, you should better get them ready for the event.

Even though the playable demo hasn't been officially confirmed by Sega, we all know that the game's development is working as planned and a demo was expected sooner rather than later. Since this game will be a third party PS 3 exclusive, the demo will be available for download on the the Japanese PSN only.

Ryu Ga Gotoku, Sega's first Yakuza-inspired video game enjoyed a moderate success, even though the developers announced that the costs were about $21 million. However, it was highly appreciated for the realistic portrait of the Yakuza criminal group in Japan and it is expected that this realistic portrait will be further enhanced with this new title. Yakuza 2 will be released in the US in early 2008 with Yakuza 3 following sometime in 2009 but, as we said, you probably have some friends in Japan already and you can share the experience.

Unfortunately, we can't tell you yet if you really have to be sorry (if you're not from Japan, that is) for not being able to get the demo - we don't know if that highly anticipated little extra bonus offered by Yakuza 3 will be available with this demo. Yes, of course I'm talking about the mini games with prostitutes! Well... probably we'll find a way to "test" the game and see how nice being a gangster and a Yakuza member really is. And since January has just started, we won't have to wait too long.
