The company confirms the recently-reported problems

Yahoo was quite inaccessible in the recent period due to some unknown problems with most of its solutions. The users from every corner of the world said that Yahoo Messenger (both downloadable and web-based versions), Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Search and even the entire portal worked very slow and sometimes they didn't work at all. The Sunnyvale company's officials avoided to comment the problems until today, when they sent an email to the CNET editors.

"For a brief period early this morning, some Yahoo users may have experienced delays in accessing Yahoo services in the U.S. due to network carrier-related issues. The problem has since been identified and corrected by our network vendor. We know that this may have caused some inconvenience, and we apologize to our users who might have been affected," they said according to Caroline McCarthy from CNET.

Although the giant portal's representatives said the problems were fixed, the web-based version of the instant messaging client Yahoo Messenger returned some unusual errors. Beside the fact that it works quite slow sometimes, this flavor of Yahoo Messenger that is implemented into the mail solution disconnected me saying that my session has expired. In addition, it required me to re-enter my details in order to reconnect to the servers.

Imagine that those delays and slow loading times affected millions of consumers from all around the world who were unable to reach their information stored in the Yahoo account. Yahoo said it was a problem caused by network carrier-related issues but this doesn't concern the users because all they need is a stable Yahoo product able to do its job and help them with the Internet activities.

What's most interesting is that Yahoo often comments on the problems after they are entirely fixed and lets the consumers talk about the issues without any official confirmation. This is surely a Yahoo problem because sometimes, these bad speculations affect the company's image with a major impact.
