Yahoo is gearing up for an auction that will last for an entire week, starting November 14 and ending November 21. The company will be selling off premium domain names it bought off over the years.

The prices for the domains range for $1,000 (€746) and go up to $1.5 million (€1.11 million). There are over 100 sites on the list, but only a few have been unveiled right now.

Domain name webserver.com is going for as high as $500,000 (€373,215), while finalcountdown.com is a lot cheaper, going for a max $25,000 (€18,660). A very expensive one that has been unveiled right now is av.com which has a price range from $1 million (€746,340) to $1.5 million (€1.11 million).

Other domains are policescanner.com, religious.net, blogsport.com, airtrafficcontrol.com, cuberjokes, cursed.com and many more.

“When you’re a company that’s been around as long as Yahoo, there are lots of fun things that you stumble across. This year, we found a huge list of domain names that the company has owned for quite some time. As we discussed what to do with them, it became obvious that it was time to set them free…back into the wild of the Internet,” the company wrote in the announcement.

The event was given a funny, but appropriate name called “Domainapalooza.” While some of the names on the list so far are quite nice (who wants sandwich.com?) it remains to be seen exactly what the rest of the list hides.

The domain names are likely going to get sold before November 21, when the campaign gets wrapped up. Fact is a lot of the names on the list should be quite easy to sell and some businesses will be happy to get their hands on them.

It will be interesting to see which ones get snatched up first and if any will be left in Yahoo’s bag.
