The Sunnyvale company Yahoo managed to open a new center in Barcelona, Spain, in a move meant to expand its advertising platform to European users. It seems like the new office will offer Yahoo's products to customers for UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. According to mad.co.uk, the center is especially addressed to small businesses because Yahoo intends to offer them the same powerful solutions created for larger corporations.

"The customer sales support centre will provide Yahoo! Europe with a unique opportunity to enhance our display advertising strategy across Europe reaching the smaller advertisers in the five core European markets," Javier Rodriguez Zapatero, sales vice president, Yahoo! Europe and executive president Yahoo! Spain, said according to mad.co.uk.

This month was quite important for most of the famous Internet companies as it brought new acquisitions, new offices and new flavors of their products. Take the example of the Mountain View rival Google that recently opened a new office in Israel, a country that already hosts centers for famous names such as Intel and Motorola.

However, the most unaccessible market remains the Chinese one as it managed to cause important trouble for most of the outside companies that are intending to invest in the local market. Yahoo was strong affected by the competition because it suffered numerous departures as well as an internal reorganization meant to revamp the company.

Google also encountered problems because of the local Baidu, the company that is offering almost the same products as the original Mountain View company that managed to steal the majority of users. Google was affected even by the local users because the search giant sustained that no less than 300 fake agents are pretending to be hired to sell the company's solutions. Still, the two giants are aiming to conquer China and I believe they won't abandon the battle until they reach their goal.
