Indian elements implemented into the Yahoo avatars

Following the recent Fashion Week from New York, several Indian designers had the brilliant idea to create some Yahoo Messenger avatars that would be based on Indian-inspired elements. The Sunnyvale company Yahoo moved quite fast and introduced lots of new elements into the animated Yahoo Avatars, allowing the users to personalize their character with several Indian items. For example, you can add a blue Kurta suit, a Taj Mahal background as well as an Indian flag and some other elements in your Yahoo Messenger avatar. If you never used the Yahoo Messenger avatars and you preferred to use a picture of you on the instant messaging client, you should really try it because it has stunning configuration options that might make the character look like... you.

If you tried to use Yahoo Avatars but it didn't work correctly, you should check if you have installed Macromedia Flash Player 7.0.19 or higher (8.0 for Mac OS X) as well as a supported browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape Navigator 7.2, Mozilla Suite 1.7.6, or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3 or higher.

"If your computer is properly configured, and you still can't see your avatar in the Preview Window, there might be a program or add-on program preventing Yahoo! Avatars from sending the appropriate information to your browser," the super giant Yahoo tried to describe a potential problem with this feature.

In addition, it seems like several browser add-ons might block the Yahoo Avatars service so, if you installed them you're not able to access the page. Among them, Yahoo mentioned AOL Pop-Up Blocker, PopSwatter and WebSearch Toolbar for Internet Explorer. "Any pop-up blocker which prevents animated ads might block the Yahoo! Avatars Preview Window from displaying your avatar correctly."

If you want to download the latest version of Yahoo Messenger, you can take it from Softpedia.
