Live chat help for Yahoo Voice unavailable

Yahoo Voice is one of the most important features of Yahoo Messenger because it enables consumers to communicate over the web using a microphone and a headset. Because you're able to call a phone from all over the world, the function is pretty important for numerous users so the parent company created a live chat support supposed to help the consumers every time they encounter a problem. Although the Sunnyvale super giant Yahoo receives lots of complaints about the feature, it can be worse than that. Yahoo confirmed the service was down yesterday but didn't provide other information such as the time when it becomes re-available.

"The live chat help service we offer for Yahoo! Voice subscribers is currently down due to technical difficulties. We're working on fixing it and I'll post an update here once I have more news (or when it's fixed). Thanks for your patience," Sarah Bacon, Product Manager at Yahoo, wrote on the main blog of the company.

But what's more important is that numerous consumers who tried Yahoo's live chat support are pretty disappointed by the service as they had to wait way too much before they managed to talk with an expert.

"It was down for only 35 minutes, that is how long it usually takes someone to join the session and help you, anyway. I used the live chat support 5-6 times and each time I waited for over 30 minutes. Support was helpful when billing was a problem, but not so much with technical issues. Therefore, I guess more people with more knowledge is a solution," Mark Pr, a user who posted a comment to Yahoo's announcement, stated.

Sarah Bacon, Product Manager at Yahoo, informed that the glitch was repaired and everything should work without any problem. "10:25am PST: Live chat help is now up and running again."
