Yahoo is a company that wants to offer its customers more and more services that will allow them to replace the habitual activities with a single one that can be found on the Yahoo website.

The company already tried to replace the television with an agreement made with Current TV, a firm that offered Yahoo multimedia content to be included and shared on their webpage.

Although the service was not so popular, Yahoo Current Network represented an innovative idea, meant to attract users to replace their TV with the Yahoo service.

It seems like the deal will end this year, as the two companies didn't agree to continue their partnership and also refusing to offer more details about the end of the contract.

"As we approach the end of the initial ramp-up period built into the partnership with CurrentTV, both parties have determined that our respective goals and objectives were diverging and mutually decided to pursue other opportunities independently," Yahoo sustained.

Current TV agreed with Google to offer Google Current, but it seems this partnership didn't influence the decision. "Since last August, the USA has a new channel called 'Current TV', which broadcasts 'Google Current' every 30 minutes for 30-180 seconds. It's a space which shows in images the most requested news of 'Google News'," Search Engine Watch said on a blog post.

"Current TV, founded by Al Gore, and Yahoo announced the launch of The Yahoo Current Network. This network is to "combine professional and user-generated video clips" reports the New York Times. The paper says each show will likely "be preceded by a 15- or 30-second commercial," which is the first time Yahoo "included commercials with user-generated content," Search Engine Watch said at the moment of the agreement.
