Yahoo is a company that provides multiple services but it is well known for its giant portal that is visited every day by millions of users. As you might know, the giant portal is a powerful rival for various companies in several categories, being one of the firms that are challenging Google for the best search engine on the internet. Yahoo tries to make its services more accessible to the users by releasing new features and updates periodically, giving them the possibility to personalize the solution they use.

If you are an experienced webmaster, you should know that backlinks represent the number of websites that are currently publishing links to your site, representing one of the main aspects that contribute to the PageRank provided by certain search engines. Although it's very easy to create a special button that will display the number of backlinks for your site, Yahoo designed a special feature that allows you to add a Yahoo button on your page.

"Yahoo now offers you to create a badge showing the backlinks your site gets. But what's the point, really? Everyone can create a dynamic site using htaccess & a simple PHP script that will create 500,000 new nonsense content pages with links to whichever location you want (it may be less trivial to get Yahoo to index all those pages in order for them to show up as backlinks, but still)," Google Blogoscoped commented the new feature.

If you want to add the new button provided by Yahoo on your website, you should click on this link and follow some simple steps. All you need to do is choose from two options: display the backlinks for the entire website or for a certain page. Then, you must choose the size of the button and finally, you should copy the HTML code generated by your options and insert it into the configuration of your page.
