Interesting project for the downloadable application

Have you ever asked yourself whether Yahoo were able to work with Google and improve one of the products developed by the two companies? Well, maybe this is not possible; but what if you're able to implement one of the giant portal's solutions into Google's products? It might result something incredible but let's give it a try and see what happens. First of all, you should know that I'm talking about Google Earth and Flickr, the online photo sharing service owned by Yahoo. The idea is quite simple: we should obtain a product able to show us the latest Flickr photos as they are uploaded on the site. How? By using Google Earth. The application will show us the photos depending on the location of the uploader. You can try flickrvision to see a similar but online solution.

Now, all you need is Google Earth and Flickr Shower, an interesting file posted by the Google Earth Blog and compatible with the search giant's downloadable application. Basically, the file will add interoperability between Google Earth and Flickr using another Yahoo product, Pipes. So, let's suppose you downloaded both files. Open Google Earth, go to Tools, Options and click on Touring. Select the "Show balloon when tour is paused" feature and configure the "Tour Pause" settings to any value. The next step is to select File and choose Open to add the downloaded Flickr Shower to Google Earth. All you need to do next is click the play button or use the Play Tour function located under the Tools menu.

"In the meantime, you could just modify the "nsid" parameter in the URL link of the Flickr Shower network link for a user who has geotagged photos, and view them right away," Google Earth Blog sustained in the post. If you want to find out more information, you should read the article posted by Google Earth Blog.
