New Recipe Shortcuts

How about it, it's the only two constant things you'll always count on when the holidays are coming: your family and the food. And they are in very close relation one to another and both of them to your level of enjoying the moments.

If you have some relatives that really, but really annoy you, it will most definitely ruin your appetite. By ruining your appetite and by watching the others enjoy the meal you'll probably get even more annoyed with the respective sibling/whatever he might be to you and his miserable existence? but I get carried away, I think.

Yahoo! has blogged about the update to its Recipe Shortcuts and how it should improve your overall holiday experience (professional talk, eh?). No more "one meal" to save the day, cooked in just one way by just one person, although that is mostly what tradition is about, your grandma's gravy or your aunt's cookies or whatnot. The new shortcuts are here to help you provide the next level in cookery competitions: it's you versus tradition. Who will win? It's all up to you. You know your opponent's strengths and weaknesses but she (it's most likely going to be a she, not many men would choose cooking over the ballgame and if you've read this far you should really consider the game again) knows nothing about you. Two cooks enter, just one leaves with the victor's laurels.

The Recipe Shortcuts are easy to use, all you have to do is add the word "recipe" after what you're looking to cook up and a corresponding list of categories as well as top-rated recipes from 14 providers (why not 15?), including Epicurious, Food & Wine, Every Day with Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart, will be displayed for you to choose from. Searches allow cuisine, ingredient, meal and dish categories.
