Yahoo recently signed a deal with Eurosport to provide live results, news and other information about the sports domain from every corner of the world. The two companies created a brand new website that provides instant access to the latest news and sports information as well as to live scores and results. At this time, the newly designed webpage is available in UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain and Italy. According to UTalk Marketing, France might be also one of the countries to offer the website, but the two companies didn't provide any official date for the release.

According to the same source, the partnership will bundle the content offered by Eurosport with several products offered by the Sunnyvale company such as Flickr, Yahoo Answers, blogs, photo and video sharing. The page will provide an internal player that allows users to view multimedia content straight from the website without having to download or install any file.

"The marketing campaign includes both TV and online media, with a pre-launch consumer teaser promotion to attract users to come and visit the new site on launch day. Sports fans will be able to share opinions and find sports news and information in an environment that combines Eurosport's live and archived content with Yahoo!'s online communities," the same source sustained.

In the recent period, Yahoo was rather quiet because the Sunnyvale company preferred to sign deals and buy companies without announcing them officially. However, Yahoo remains an important company that tries to attract users from most of the categories, this time the sports content being the lucky one. Some time ago, Yahoo wanted to provide more news headlines and signed agreements with several news providers able to improve its product. Then, the giant portal updated the Travel service by making partnerships with famous firms.
