Wireless carrier Three UK has just made available on its website two new Android-based devices from Sony Ericsson, namely the Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY.

Both handsets cannot be pre-ordered from the mobile phone carrier, and are expected to ship in about two weeks from now.

To be more precise, the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is listed at Three UK as available for free on a £40 per month plan on a 24-month contract, while expected to be shipped on Wednesday, April 6th, 2011.

As for the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, it should be released on Three UK's airwaves with a £49.00 upfront cost on a £40.00 per month plan, and is expected to ship on Friday, April 8th, 2011.

Both devices were made available on the carrier's The One Plan, which offers 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, All-you-can-eat Data, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes and free voicemail.

The new Xperia arc was officially unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, in January, as one of the slimmest handsets the Japanese-Swedish phone maker brought to shelves.

It comes with a curved design, while sporting a 4.2-inch touchscreen display, while running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The handset also includes an HDMI for TV connection, along with an 8.1 megapixel photo snapper, and an 8GB microSD memory card included in the package. It can be seen on Three UK's website here.

As for the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, we should note that it is the first smartphone in the world to be PlayStation-certified.

It comes with a 4-inch touchscreen display and with a side-sliding game pad with the popular PlayStation controls on it.

Moreover, the device would also arrive with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Stereo speakers, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and 6 preloaded free games.

The device arrives on shelves with a 16GB microSD memory card included in the package. It has been listed on Three UK's website here.
