A few days ago, Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers confirmed plans to add to its offering as soon as April 28th two new handsets from Sony Ericsson, the Xperia arc and the Xperia PLAY, and users in the country can already reserve one of these today from Best Buy Canada.

The retailer has just announced that it users interested in any of the two devices can now head to its brick and mortar stores around the country to reserve their units.

Rogers already had the two devices on pre-order on its website, and now the company's retail partner has announced that the two are available for reservations, though only in stores.

“Visit your local Best Buy Mobile and place down a $50 deposit. When the Xperia Arc or Xperia Play arrives in our stores, we will notify you immediately so you can get your phone ahead of everyone else. See in-store for details,” the retailer notes on its website.

No specific info on the price tag the two would sport emerged for the time being, but MobileSyrup notes that they should cost anywhere between $99.99 on 3-year contract agreements, to $549.99 upright.

Users who would like to purchase one of these two devices and would pre-order them for $50 would also have the opportunity to get 4,000 reward points ($50) that can be used to purchase accessories.

For those out of the loop, we should note that both the Xperia PLAY and the Xperia arc were unveiled to the world during the ongoing year with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform on board.

The former comes as the first PlayStation-certified device in the world, with a 4-inch screen, a sliding game pad, 5MP camera on the back, 1GHz application processor, and more.

The Xperia arc sports a slim design, a large 4.2-inch screen, a fast processor, curved back, HD video recording capabilities, support for various mobile services and applications, and more.
