From Sony Ericsson itself

Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson is getting ready to deliver to the market its first handset powered by Google's Android operating system, the Xperia X10, and now the company has just published a video unboxing of the device. Enthusiasts have now the chance to take a look at both the device and the box it will come in, and in high video quality, that's for sure.

The most interesting part of the story is that the video has been shot with the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, a Symbian-based handset officially unveiled at the beginning of the year. “The clip is shot with Vivaz so to get an HD-experience remember to click Watch on YouTube and select 720p. (This will also show a bit on the continous auto focus working, it struggles a bit from time to time in indoor lighting but I think it does quite a good job! This time I also set white balance manually),” Rikard Skogberg from Sony Ericsson notes in a blog post.

What enthusiasts will also see in the clip is that there are two boxes for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, as the device is set to land on the market in two different colors, as well as a little of what the handset vendor has included in the box, beside the Android-based mobile phone. “We also tried to show a bit more of what the boxes look like since I guess most of you have seen quite a few videos of the phone by now,” the blog post reads.

At the same time, the Sony Ericsson employees who delivered the unboxing video state that the content of the retail boxes will differ according to the market in which the handset arrives, and that there are also chances that service providers will change the content of the box through adding more accessories. Long story short, take a look at the video embedded below to make an idea of what the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 might arrive on the market with, and expect for it to receive the Android 2.2 update in the second half of the year, just as the phone maker said recently.
