Today, mobile phone maker Xolo has made official a new device in India, in the form of Xolo Q700S, which was spotted online only last week.

The handset arrives on the market as a low- to mid-range phone, packing a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, along with a quad-core processor inside.

Xolo has launched the new smartphone with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 ($162 / €120) attached to it, though users will certainly be able to purchase it for much less than that.

The new Xolo Q700S arrives on shelves with a metallic finish, which offers a premium look and feel, as Xolo says. Just as previously noted, the phone is being launched as the successor of Xolo Q700, which was made officially available in May last year.

The specifications list of the new device includes a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS touchscreen display, along with the aforementioned 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor.

As fonearena notes, the new handset also comes with 1GB of RAM, as well as with 4GB of internal memory, paired with a microSD memory card slot with support for cards of up to 32GB in size.

Moreover, Xolo Q700S sports Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) capabilities, along with support for 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 11 Mbps) networks, and an 1800mAh battery.

Xolo also packed the device with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash and support for full HD video recording. A VGA camera on the front provides users with the possibility to make video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of the new handset also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity capabilities, a built-in GPS receiver, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio.

At only 8.9 mm thick, Xolo Q700S will be released in Silver and Gold color flavors, with Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.
