Since consumers are most receptive to new products, hardware makers find themselves in need of refreshing their product portfolio on a regular basis, even if it's just by changing or increasing color options, making some design tweaks or simply rebranding older but successful products. Those that make computer parts that are always in view, however (such as monitors or enclosures), also need to be especially careful not to overuse a certain design. This is what Xigmatek tries to accomplish with the Midgard White Knight chassis.

The original Midgard chassis was introduced last summer and seems to have been popular enough to deserve a facelift. Now that a year has passed, the company has decided to unveil a new version, known as the White Knight, which stays mostly faithful to the original design, but stands out amidst most of its peers because of its, more or less, unique color theme.

The “new” mid-tower is entirely coated in white, both on the outside and on the inside (as it can be seen from the name itself), and even comes with a pair of white LED 120mm fans, one at the front and one at the back.

The rest of the specifications are identical to those of the original. Constructed out of steel, the chassis measures 210 (W) x 478 (H) x 510 (D) mm and weighs a total of 9.28kg. It also comes with five 5.25-inch bays, a tool-free HDD, ODD and PCI card mounting mechanism and a pair of USB ports, two audio ports and an eSATA connector on the front I/O panel. Finally, to make sure that enthusiasts can install superior cooling solutions, the Midgard White Knight boasts pre-drilled water-cooling holes.

Unfortunately, the product is not yet available, being reportedly slated to make its official debut on June 11. The price tag will supposedly be of 69.90 Euro.
