As was expected, low-cost smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is looking to make an entrance in the wearable market.

After launching popular handsets, a tablet, smart TVs, Wi-Fi routers and others, Xiaomi has recently introduced its own fitness tracker called the Mi Band, reports NDTV.

Like we got accustomed with products coming from the company, this little device sells for an extremely low price and can be yours for just $13 / €10.

The fitness tracker is pretty basic and arrives devoid of a screen, a feature which you won’t likely miss. The Mi Band can be used for up to 30 days without having to pop it in for a recharge; it is also waterproof so you’ll be able to wash your hands without taking it off.

It incorporates a vibrating alarm feature and can track how many steps you have taken while running or walking. On top of that, it will also monitor your sleep pattern.

What’s more, you’ll be able to unlock your Xiaomi phone by virtue of using the smartband and without having to enter your password.

The band will be available in a variety of fun and vivid colors and will be first made available in Xiaomi’s home court, China. Details of the global availability haven’t been made available yet.
