It seems that the earlier retailer listing was just a typo

A retailer previously revealed that Microsoft was preparing to add a headset to the core Xbox One package, but it seems that the information was not coming directly from the hardware maker and was just a typo in a document that was sent internally.

Now a representative of Microsoft says that there are no plans to change earlier announced hardware bundles, which did not include a headset.

The Official Xbox Magazine states on Twitter, "We spoke to a Microsoft PR rep about the Xbox One headset thing earlier. Plans remain unchanged, as far as he knows."

The fact that Microsoft changed its policy regarding the DRM of the Xbox One means that now gamers feel entitled to ask for more reversals from the company.

Petitions are also asking the company to drop the Kinect motion tracking system from the retail bundle that will be offered in November.
