Microsoft says that the new version of the Xbox Live service for the Xbox One is designed to be intelligent enough to actually evaluate the various anonymity settings depending on the situation that the player is in.

Mike Lavin, a senior product manager at the company, tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “It will be smart enough to determine if anonymity is required in a scenario. Essentially, if you pop in to a multiplayer experience, the folks that you're friends with will see your real identity information - which is again controllable.”

All those who use anonymous settings will lack direct access to other gamer’s personal information.

Microsoft will also include reputation information in the new Xbox Live profiles in order to make sure that the community is more civil and reacts better to newcomers.

The Xbox One will be launched in November.
