After the launch of the unboxing video for the Xbox One, showing all the content of the Day One version of the next-gen console, Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, announces that the company is also giving buyers 2 AA batteries in order to power their controller.

On Twitter, the community manager at Microsoft states, “One thing I forgot to mention in the #XboxOne unboxing: 2 AA batteries for the controller are included in the box.”

Many potential buyers have complained that Microsoft is rather stingy when it comes to the content of its console retail packages.

The big reveal of the unboxing video was that a headset was included in the box, after the company initially said that users would have to buy one separately.

The Xbox One is at the moment set to arrive on all major markets before the end of November 2013 and will have to compete with the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
