The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One home console announces that the version of the device that will be delivered in Japan will include two major titles on launch, Titanfall and Kinect Sports Rivals, in order to make the platform more interesting for potential buyers.

The bundle is designed to show off what the new console can deliver in terms of game experiences and all those who want to pre-order it ahead of the early September launch date can do so starting on June 21.

Titanfall and Kinect Sports Rivals both cost about 6,900 Yen in Japan, which means that a player who takes advantage of the Xbox One bundle will be able to save the equivalent of about 138 dollars (95 Euro).

Microsoft has designed the new offer to make its next-gen device competitive on a market where the rival PlayStation 4 from Sony has been available since late February of this year and has already managed to deliver solid sales.

The Xbox One is launching on a number of new markets in September, but it’s unclear whether special offers that include major video games, like Titanfall, are being planned for all of them.

Traditionally, Microsoft has not performed very well on the Japanese market and it is unlikely that its most recent platform will change this long-term trend.

Starting in June, the Xbox One is being offered for 399 dollars or Euro in both North America and Europe and the core bundle no longer includes the Kinect motion tracking system.

Titanfall is a first-person shooter that was created by Respawn Entertainment and is being published by Electronic Arts, which aims to revolutionize the genre by introducing more movement options when the player is a pilot and increased firepower when he calls down one of the title’s defining mechs.

The game has been a solid success on the Xbox One and is also offered on the PC and the older 360.

The development team has said that it will offer long-term support for the title and a major update is set to introduce a new game mode.

Kinect Sports Rivals is a title that is designed to show how the Xbox One can use the Kinect motion tracking system and allows gamers to enjoy simulations of six sports, with the development team at Rare saying that more will be added in the near future.
