Michael Pachter reveales his assumptions, Phil Spencer talks about them and Sony

With E3 2014 right around the corner, many gamers are worried about Microsoft's presentation. Although the company has promised game-related content and no more pushing of TV content, fans are still reserved in regards to their reveals.

It turns out that they're not alone in their worries, as Wedbush Securities Analyst Michael Pachter has shared his forecast on what Microsoft is going to talk about at their Xbox E3 2014 press conference, and he believes that the Redmond giant is going to address exactly what the Xbox fans fear it would.

Pachter has stated that Microsoft will begin its conference with the Kinect-less Xbox One bundle and a rationalization on why it's on par with the PS4, and will then continue with detailing the original content that's headed for the Xbox One console, a ton of multimedia content and new TV shows.

He has stated that his reasoning is that, although the E3 event is traditionally a gaming-related convention, mainstream media outlets such as CNN and the Wall Street Journal will also cover it, and so multimedia content is bound to be featured during the press conference.

In addition to this, Pachter has stated that he expects a price drop for the Xbox 360 to be announced, along with some other incentives that will come bundled with Microsoft's last-gen console in order to make it more attractive to consumers, to counter-act the similar offer for Sony, regarding the PS3, that the analyst is certain will be revealed during this year's E3, as Gamepur reports.

He has also expressed his low hopes for seeing the massive game announcements that Microsoft has been talking about, aside from some news of Halo 5: Guardians and some progress details on the upcoming Gears of War title from Black Tusk Studios, headed for the Xbox One platform.

"These are just my assumption and not prediction," Pachter has ended his statement.

In response to the mediocre outcome foretold by Pachter, Xbox Division President Phil Spencer has taken to Twitter to state something that could potentially alarm Xbox fans.

"Ahh that @michaelpachter guy, he's a friend. I'll see him after our briefing, we'll see if our show matches his predictions," Spencer tweets.

This kind of PR talk that neither confirms nor denies any of the analyst assumptions does not bode well for the future, but thankfully with E3 being so close, we won't have to worry for long.

Phil Spencer has also been asked whether he thinks that Sony is intimidated by him taking on the new role in Microsoft's Xbox Division, and he has once again shown great sportsmanship and revealed his appreciation for Microsoft's main competitor in the console field.

"I don't think Sony is intimidated. Sony is great brand and strong team. Competition is good, they'll have a good E3," the Xbox head shares.

In addition to this, he has also mentioned that the Xbox team is hard at work, merrily pummeling on the iron, and that there's a "good vibe in the halls." That's nice, but we want some new and exciting games, and hopefully that's what all the "good vibe" is about.
