At least one of the maps alone is worth the MS points. Hope you have them!

Although Lost Planet fans surely haven't had enough of the third-person shooter yet, Capcom is busy trying to please its users, thus releasing three more maps for them to enjoy online (and not only I presume). The three maps consist of two what-you'd-expect ones that fill the screen up with environmental beauty and platforms daring you to reach and become invisible to the enemy, while another, less typical, will take you back into the 8-bit era. With little improvements here and there of course, you wouldn't expect Capcom to make a 2D map for a 3D shooter, now would you?

As you're surely more into the viewing part than into the reading part, you've probably skipped the following details about the means to download the map pack. So, here's the official report, as I found it posted on TeamXbox.com: "Multiplayer map pack #3 for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace on Thursday, June 21. The map pack costs 400 Microsoft Points and includes THREE new multiplayer levels: "Lost Technology," a throw-back to the good ol' days of pixelated 8-bit gaming; "Ruins," ancient temples set amidst a lush jungle; and "Ice Drop," a frigid glacier with lots of peaks, nooks and crannies.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition combines both single player campaign and multiplayer modes with support for up to 16 players via Xbox Live. As you've probably already noticed (if you're a newcomer) the game sports some pretty sophisticated visuals, with a high degree of detail, noticeable even in "Lost Technology." Aside these three presented today, there are several enormous maps that unfold as players take on hostile creatures in blistering weather conditions across vast snowfields and deserted cities either on foot or in armed, robotic Vital Suits. What are you waiting for? You've seen the footage, right? Good, now see whether you have those MS Points or not. I swear "Lost Technology" alone is worth the 400 points.
