As expected, XOLO, Lava Mobile's premium brand, has just unveiled its first Windows Phone handset coming soon to India, the Qin Q900s.

The Indian OEM confirmed last week it would be launching its own Windows Phone device this month, which it promised would be the lightest smartphone powered by Microsoft's mobile platform.

In this regard, the XOLO Win Q900s weighs around 100g, which isn't that light as one would have expected, but might be enough to challenge the title of world's lightest Windows Phone handset:

“Only 100 gm in weight, the XOLO Win Q900s, is clearly the lightest smart phone available. One of the best in its category, it is a rare jewel that you can flaunt. Light on pocket, not on features!” claims XOLO.

Moreover, the smartphone measures 135.8 x 67.2mm and is only 7.2mm thin. Obviously, it will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box and offers dual-SIM capability with dual standby.

XOLO is the second Indian company that announces the upcoming availability of its own Windows Phone handsets, after Micromax introduced two devices last week.

Windows Phone fans can now pre-book their XOLO Win Q900s smartphones for only Rs 9,999 ($165 / €120) outright via major retailer Snapdeal.

According to XOLO, the Win Q900s will go on sale in the second week of July. It's also worth mentioning that Snapdeal will only sell 5,000 units of Win Q900s at that price, after which it will probably be available for the suggested retail price that's been set to Rs 11,999 ($200 / €145).

Specs-wise, XOLO Win Q900s is just another mid-range smartphone. It comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit, and 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The Win Q900s sports a more than decent 4.7-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display based on One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, which feature Dragon Trail Glass coating and supports HD (720p) resolution.

On the back, the mid-range Windows Phone handset packs an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with PureCel sensor, autofocus, LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Last but not least, XOLO Win Q900s is powered by a 1800mAh battery and offer a wide range of connectivity options, including 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and GPS with A-GPS support.
