It appears Lava’s smartphone branch XOLO has partnered up with AMD, and with their forces combined, they have pulled the veil off a new tablet, called the XOLO Win. The Indian manufacturer is present at the CES 2014 where the device has been put up on display for the world to see.

Weirdly enough, XOLO says it is aiming the device at youth people and working professionals, but we don’t really see how the two consumer groups overlap. Maybe the presence of Windows 8 as the default operating system might shed some light on things.

Director Vishal Sehgal says, “the tablet is targeted at youth as well as working professionals, offering a superior high-definition image rendering with great multi-tasking and impressive power saving technology.”

Anyway, moving along in case you got curious, the XOLO Win is a 10.1-inch tablet powered by an AMD A4 1200 dual-core 1GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and Radeon HD 8180G and 32GB of storage.

Note that the AMD APU uses the same CPU core as the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One (Jaguar), reports Business Line.

Furthermore the tablet comes packed with stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two pretty average cameras (2MP in front and 1MP on the back) and a 26.27Wh battery (XOLO says it will give users 7 hours of battery life).

AMD India was also thrilled to announce that the Xolo Win would expand the usage of AMD-enhanced tablets, proving a long battery life, an impressive performance, capable of sustaining both work and play-related activities, at a price that is supposedly going to redefine the tablet space.

XOLO will be making the tablet available in India at the end of this month, but so far we don’t know if the company plans to bring it to other markets or how much it will cost, but we’re pretty psyched to find out, especially since the price is supposed to be so revolutionary.
