XOLO has just announced the upcoming availability of another mid-range Android smartphone in the Q-series. The newly announced Q900 smartphone is expected to hit shelves in the coming days and has been priced at Rs 12,999 outright, which is about $210 or €155.

XOLO Q900 is a pretty decent smartphone when it comes to hardware. The handset comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6589 processor, which is complemented by a PowerVR SGX 544 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

As expected, the smartphone offers dual-SIM support (3G / 2G). Another highlight of the Q900 is the large 4.7-inch HD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 312ppi (pixel density).

Even though the XOLO Q900 packs only 4GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

On the back, the Q900 features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and BSI sensor, while in the front, there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that the Q900 ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

In the same piece of news, AndroidOS reports that XOLO plans to launch a second mid-range Android smartphone in the coming weeks. The XOLO A600 has been recently spotted on the company’s website and features slightly lower specs than the Q900.

The A600 is expected to arrive with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform onboard and a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572W processor.

Furthermore, the handset is said to pack 512MB of RAM and a decent 4.5-inch that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. No word on availability and price tag yet, so stay tuned for more updates on this one.
