Today, XOLO has officially announced plans to bring to the market a new powerful smartphone before the end of this month, namely the XOLO Q1000 Opus.

The new device arrives on shelves as a variant of the XOLO Q1000, but is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 ARM Cortex processor, the company unveiled.

The new mobile phone will also sport a large 5-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 720p HD resolution, as well as support for HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additionally, the new XOLO handset will provide users with appealing performance capabilities courtesy of Broadcom’s BCM4334 connectivity combo chip and BCM4752 multi-constellation GNSS location chip.

The phone also promises a feature-rich experience, capable of providing users with the possibility to stream content over Wi-Fi networks while simultaneously projecting HD video, photos and gaming applications on a larger screen via Miracast.

“XOLO has differentiated itself on delivering performance driven smartphone experience to its users. This tie up with Broadcom Corporation is another big step in the same direction,” Sunil Raina, business head at XOLO, commented.

“Our upcoming product – XOLO Q1000 Opus will deliver high-end multimedia experience and GPS/GLONASS search location technology on a large 5 inch screen at an attractive price point.”

The upcoming mobile phone will also come with VideoCore multimedia support for an immersive multimedia experience, as well as with features such as dual HD display support with 720p LCD and external HD panel, courtesy of the aforementioned Miracast capabilities.

Furthermore, XOLO notes that its device will provide users with great indoor and outdoor location capabilities, courtesy of GPS/GLONASS, WLAN, MEMs and Cell ID functionality.

The new XOLO Q1000 Opus smartphone is set to become available for purchase before the end of this month. Unfortunately, XOLO did not offer specific details on the release date, nor on the price tag that this handset would feature.
